Fervor de Buenos Aires :: Orquesta Típica Misteriosa Buenos Aires

Thanks go to Mitra on Facebook for this one...

Orquesta Típica Misteriosa Buenos Aires

I posted something a while back titled "The Secret of Golden Age Tango Music" - about the elements that make it sound so good - about the zeitgeist of that time being gone - about no new/nuevo orquestras being able to reproduce the golden age sound...

I was wrong.

It looks like they are known as Orquesta Típica Misteriosa Buenos Aires.

I like Fervor de Buenos Aires a lot. Too bad they have only one album out: Quien Sos. I played Quien Sos, EGB and Loca a few times. Some like them, some don't. Although I think there are a lot in the music that one can play with.

I think I will catch their performance on March 20th while I am in BsAs. Thanks for the post. :-)

Wow... I really like them. They do sound very "Golden Age". I like what they say on their website about strengthening and keeping the bond between music and dance that Tango has has created since its origins and making quality music that will not only accompany the dancer but delight those who listen as well (paraphrase mine).

Thanks for sharing!

Hello you all,
I was reading the stats of the website... and get to this article,
I'm one of them, I play the violin there since the very begining of Fervor and now in Misteriosa, reading you makes me feel that our work worth the effort, i guess you cant figure how hard is tho keep a group of ten people, carried just by a feeling, being unprofitable. We love the tango, we love to play together, and I also love to dance. Im still in this project because i have the feeling that we are doing it right, and reading you, cheers my heart.Thank you.

Our recording, just finished and produced today, April 23, will be traveling Europe with us during the month of May, while we are touring, once we are back in Buenos Aires; it will be on sale in our shows and www.tangostore.com, besides main record storesfrom Buenos Aires.
