The most "stuff" ever done to the most beautiful song

Murat y Michelle, with their perfect musicality, dizzyingly yet beautifully executing an amazing amount of "stuff" in their dance to DiSarli's Verdemar, which happens to my most favorite song of all time. Tango song, that is.

Murat & Michelle :: @ Stone Soup

I had more than one invitation to make the trek to Stone Soup in Kansas City. Okay, I had two invitations. Or was it three? Sadly, I could not make it. It sounds like it was a great little fest.

Note that Murat & Michelle are in Santa Fe, New Mexico this starting yesterday, so unless you are already there, it's probably too late to make that workshop.

Here is the rest of their upcoming schedule : [sadly, I won't be able to make any of these, either...except...maybe, just maybe, New Orleans...]

Throw caution to the wind, book a flight to ABQ, rent a Toyota Prius hybrid, and get your asses there.

I've never taken a workshop with them.

But I would.

If I could.

It sucks that I can't just pick up and go.

This thing called "life" is getting in the way of my tango.

Suckage.

Great big suckage.

Murat and Michelle :: La Belle Epoque Milonga [NYC] :: En Esta Tarde Gris

And here is my favorite, which I have posted before as an example of their almost perfect musicality. The song is Anibal Troilo's "En Esta Tarde Gris".

This one is from June 2006. So the three videos posted today are roughly one year apart.

Murat and Michelle :: ValenTango 2007 :: La Cumparsita

Their now famous performance...from Johanna's comment on the earlier post "Muchos adornos..."

Muchos adornos... Murat & Michelle

Here is a video of Murat & Michelle dancing a demo at the DC Tango Marathon last week.

The first comment on this video warns Michelle not to get too carried away with her adornments...what do you guys think?

On a separate subject, what do you think about teachers, relatively well known national/international teachers, who blow off a scheduled private lesson and then act like it was no big deal? No apology, no nothing. A friend was telling me about this...not just blowing it off, but a total no-show on the part of the teachers...

What's up with that?
