Some really nasty tango...

Here's some nasty shit-for-tango that will leave a bad taste in your mouth...

Sorry, but I'm in one of my moods...

I rather like her gold lame' fingerless gloves, but I suspect that at any moment the superhero she stole them from will come looking for her.

A little like a car wreck: awful yet unable to look away.

Actually, he's not half bad. She's a disaster.

Hi Alex, how are you?

Okay, so maybe this clip could use some crackers to go with the cheese. But to be fair, this is from over ten years ago and tango has changed a lot since then. If you see Chicho's performances from around that time he doesn't come across particularly well either. Does it make this performance any better or more acceptable? I'd say no, especially by today's standards it doesn't hold up technically. But the methodology and resources for learning nowadays are so far beyond what was available back then. As for the performance sensibility... well, it certainly comes across as dated at best.

But after all this time one would hope their tango has evolved for the better if they are still dancing--actually, I'd say there's almost no way it couldn't.

I admit I found it entertaining, but only because I was laughing the whole way through. But that's how it is with all past fashion, no? Hell, I had a mullet in high school. My senior photo is cringeworthy indeed. I would imagine this video may well be the bad haircut buried in these dancers' past, only unearthed and exposed through the invading eye of 21st century technology.
