Ok, I'm going to vent my pet peeve on your blog, Alex.

It's Boleo with a B, NOT voleo with a v.

The one with a "v" is the muchly overused "V"oldaca....

Oh, Johanna...you have such a wicked sense of humor...because I know that we Taoists do not, cannot, have pet peeves...we bend like the willow in the wind...we are like the raindrop beading up on the duck's back...the idiot who can't count change is like a guru on the mountaintop...

Actually though, this is the original photographer's word usage/spelling/photograph title. Flickr has a feature whereby I can "blog" a photo very quickly - essentially with a press of the mouse button.

I very rarely mess with the title of the photo, especially when just slamming it up there on my blog.

I know it's boleo with a b, but I suppose it may get confusing to people because of the castellano pronunciation which sounds more like a v...

And, for future readers, it's spelled volcada...

I know you were just typing fast, Johanna, however, I have amused myself greatly just now within the "realm of possibility"...and the possibility of a piece of (tango) vocabulary called the "voldaca"...(I might just have to save that one for future self-deprecating effect...)

(grin)

But thank you, as always, for the comment. The few that come my way are greatly appreciated.

Have a great Memorial Day weekend! I sincerely hope you will be able to dance a bit of tango.

And, now, finally, as I prepare to close...to totally contradict everything I just wrote...I'm in agreement with you...it's a pet peeve of mine as well to hear people (non-castellano speakers) say "voleo"...

har!

Oh Alex! Have you not yet tried a voldaca!!? It's the newest of the new moves that is sure to become nauseatingly overused :-)

And that IS with "v"! Let me know how it turns out.
