Some (all?) government municipalities have been giving away sewage sludge (domestic and industrial) as "free" fertilizer to farmers - for 30 years or longer.
It turns out the stuff is toxic, full of heavy metals - thallium, arsenic, PCB's(polychlorinated biphenols I think). Toxic to the point that it showed up in the milk from the cows eating the grass that grew on the earth that the sludge was spread on/injected into. It was apparently was killing the cows, too.
What.........the........fuck.......is.........wrong.......with.....these........#&%?*@!!.....assholes......?
