I wish I could figure out how to over-ride the html language and make the header look exactly like the image...same size and resolution...I piddled with the html code, looking for the image attributes in there, but I couldn't find it...anyone know how to do this?
Otherwise what do you think of the new look?
(P.S. I will try to find the Denver photographer's name...to give proper credit...)

Love your new look, beautiful, pure and simple.
Unfortunately, I only know how Wordpress works, so... good luck!
I like it too. Much brighter, cleaner. But I'm getting old and the white type on black background of the posts is very contrasty and hard for me to read :-(. Can you lighten up the background just a little to a deep charcoal instead of black?
Just thinking out loud...
hi johanna...
how's this?
I've just done view -> Source and I would expect the line you need to change is this one:
img alt='Alex.Tango.Fuego' height='187' id='Header1_headerimg' src='http://bp3.blogger.com/_Mf7UjmdTPd8/R6r6pIqXswI/AAAAAAAAAJA/zumqtKpOABs/S750/!+Header.jpg' style='display: block' width='750'/
Probably what you want to do is change the 750 to the actual width of the image. You'd have to do that in "Edit HTML" and I expect you would have to tick the box "Expand Widget Templates" so that it gives you the header bit.
Actually I've just realised you'll have to change the height as well. It's only 187, so it looks squashed. The values would have to be these, like the other version further down:
width="1024" height="255"
Thanks Ms!
I had to replace the variables "data:height" and "data:width" with the actual values...tried re-sizing the pic to different sizes and resolutions...but it always ended up looking stretched and pixelated.
The way it is now is the best I can get it to look...
It seems like there is a header frame size (frame for the pic) that is coming into play...and it's stretching the pic to fit that or something...
no worries....I've putz'ed around with it for too long as it is...it will have to do...here's the other option...to tweak back my post area width to the width of the pic...i'll try that and see how it looks...I tweaked it up wider when I first started the blog...because I wanted to post larger photos...
let's see how it looks...1100 pixels wide...
now I can't even find the code to do that...
c'est la vie...c'est la blog...
Hi Alex,
Another way might be to edit the picture to add a grey bars of the correct width on either side of the picture. If they're the same colour as the background, you won't see the grey bars, just the picture alligned how you want it.
